VLC Player for iPad is finally approved by Apple and available for free in the App store. VLC video player is one of the best media player, simple to use, yet very powerful and extendable. It plays most multimedia files and various streaming protocols.

VLC has all codecs built-in and comes with support for nearly all codecs. It can even play back the file or media if it is damaged! Missing or broken pieces are no stop to VLC, it plays all the video and audio information that’s still intact.

To add videos for playback with VLC on iPad, connect iPad to your computer and open iTunes. Select your device, click the APPS tab, scroll down and click ‘VLC’ app under File Sharing. Here drag and drop files or click the "Add" button and choose the files you want on iPad. Files will then be added or synced automatically.
